Bootscharter in Kuba · Leopard 44 in Cienfuegos / Marina Cienfuegos — “La Luna (Cuba)” — (2015)

Cienfuegos opens onto some of Cuba's quietest anchorages, and La Luna (Cuba) is built to reach them. This Leopard 44 draws just 1.25 metres, letting you slip into shallow bays and beach stops that deeper-hulled monohulls cannot access. The twin-hull design does more than grant shallow-water freedom—it anchors with real stability even in exposed spots, and the wide 8.29-metre beam translates to interior space that feels genuinely roomy rather than narrow. Six separate cabins sleep ten guests, each with its own head and shower. The saloon sits open to the forward cockpit, making it easy for groups to flow between dining, relaxation and helm. Outside, wide trampolines lace between the hulls while the foredeck offers a proper viewing platform for approaching reefs or just watching dolphins work the bow wave. The layout works equally well for families with teenagers, small groups of friends or couples who want company without crowding. A bareboat charter from Marina Cienfuegos sends you west along a protected southern coast toward mangrove creeks and uninhabited keys, or east into the Jardines de la Reina where lobster fishermen still navigate by instinct. The catamaran's shallow draft and dual engines make route-finding flexible—wait for weather, explore thoroughly, stay longer where the water and light reward it. This is sailing that rewards the patient and curious.
