Bootscharter in Kuba · Lagoon 421 in Cienfuegos / Marlin Marina Cienfuegos — “Marimar” — (2010)

Cienfuegos has long been Cuba's window to the world, and Marimar opens it wider. This Lagoon 421 catamaran sits at the heart of the southern coast's most sheltered waters, positioned to reach both the shallow reef systems and the deeper passages that define the Caribbean's most unspoiled sailing grounds. With five cabins sleeping up to nine guests across four bathrooms, she carries families and groups comfortably through a week of exploration without compromise. The twin hulls define how you'll experience the voyage. Stability at anchor means sleeping soundly in rolly exposed positions where monohulls pitch. Shallow draft—a catamaran's signature advantage—lets you approach islands and sandbars that larger yachts cannot touch, opening secret anchorages in the Jardines de la Reina and the cays around Cayo Largo. Belowdecks, the wide beam creates a generous saloon where guests can gather, cook, and relax. Four separate bathrooms prevent morning queues. Forward, the sprawling trampoline deck and foredeck offer space to spread out, swim, and watch the sunrise without feeling crowded. From Marlin Marina, a week unfolds with real choices. Head east along the coast toward Trinidad's colonial charm and the diving sites beyond. Strike south for the protected waters and rich marine life of the Jardines. Or explore the labyrinth of cays and mangroves to the west. The Lagoon 421 handles all these routes with ease, her design balancing the performance needed for open water with the comfort that turns a bareboat charter into something more than a passage—a genuine escape.
