Bootscharter in Kuba · Bahia 46 in Cienfuegos / Marlin Marina Cienfuegos — “Carlos” — (2004)

Cienfuegos sits on one of Cuba's deepest natural harbors, yet Carlos—a 2004 Bahia 46—is built for shallower waters. This catamaran's dual hulls draw barely a meter, letting you slip into bays and approach beaches where monohulls cannot reach. That same beam that keeps you stable at anchor also gives you room to move. Eight cabins and four bathrooms across 14 meters mean up to twelve people can cruise together without compromise. Families and larger groups find their own space below while still sharing the boat's social life. On deck, the twin hulls create natural advantages. Wide trampolines forward offer sun exposure and an open sense of space; the generous foredeck handles rigging and anchoring easily. The cockpit and saloon connect as one living zone, letting you watch the water while preparing meals or shifting from sun to shade. Whether you're anchored for the day or motoring between islands, the catamaran's stability lets you move around without gripping for balance. Based at Marlin Marina in Cienfuegos, Carlos positions you at the heart of Cuba's Caribbean cruising. A week takes you along the southern coast toward the Jardines de la Reina, where shallow anchorages, untouched reefs, and mangrove channels demand exactly this kind of boat. Bareboat charters here mean you navigate your own pace—some days sailing, some days anchored, all days on water shaped by the twin-hull design that makes this region accessible.
