Bootscharter in Kuba · Lagoon 380 in Cienfuegos / Marina Cienfuegos — “Marlene Cuba” — (2005)

Cienfuegos is the gateway to Cuba's most rewarding coastal playground, and Marlene Cuba puts you in the center of it. This 2005 Lagoon 380 launches from Marina Cienfuegos into waters where colonial harbors, mangrove-lined bays, and remote anchorages wait within a week's reach. With four cabins and two bathrooms, the boat accommodates eight guests comfortably—couples traveling together, families with teenagers, or a close group of friends looking to share the sailing. Inside, the layout works because catamarans think differently about space. The saloon runs open and bright between the twin hulls, with clear sightlines to the cockpit where sailing happens. Each cabin has its own character and access; bathrooms are positioned for convenience without awkward corridors. On deck, the trampoline between the hulls becomes the living room you actually use—a place to lounge, read, or watch the water slip beneath your feet. The wide foredeck gives everyone room to move when anchoring or adjusting sails. Why two hulls matter here becomes obvious within hours. At anchor, Marlene Cuba sits steady in the beam swells that rock monohulls; you sleep without motion. The shallow draft—a catamaran's signature advantage—opens up the turquoise shallows around small islands and the protected bays where bigger boats cannot go. Space aplenty means no one feels cramped, and the modest engines make reaching the next anchorage efficient, leaving more time to actually be there.
