Boat charter in French Polynesia · Lagoon 42 in Papeete, Tahiti / Papeete — “Premium” — (2023)

From Papeete, the Lagoon 42 opens pathways to atolls most visitors never reach. Premium is built for that scope: four cabins and four bathrooms mean eight guests spread across genuine privacy, each with direct access to their own facilities. Below deck, the saloon flows wide and bright, while topside the extended cockpit becomes your gathering space—cooking, dining, and navigating without crowding. The trampolines stretched between the hulls give you a front-row seat to the passage, and the foredeck is generous enough for anchor work and sun worship alike. Two hulls transform what's possible in French Polynesia's waters. The catamaran sits shallow, letting you edge into bay systems and beach anchorages that monohulls cannot access. That stability at anchor—the other gift of twin hulls—matters when you're deep in remote lagoons, where wave patterns shift and holding ground varies. Groups and families benefit most from this design: the wide beam creates true cabin separation, not the compromise of a single-hull layout, and there's room to move when weather keeps everyone aboard. A week out of Papeete takes you toward Moorea's reefs, into Bora Bora's lagoon, or south toward the Tuamotus. Premium handles all three routes with a reliable diesel engine and proper canvas. You choose the pace—island-hop daily or anchor for days. The Lagoon 42 was built for this choice.
