Bootscharter in Antigua und Barbuda · Lagoon 46 in Antigua / Nelson's Dockyard — “Westerlund (ANU)” — (2020)

Nelson's Dockyard sits at the heart of Antigua's sailing scene, and Westerlund (ANU) offers a direct route to everything that makes these waters special. This 2020 Lagoon 46 sleeps 12 across four cabins, each paired with its own bathroom—essential comfort when a week's cruise means sharing the boat with family or friends. The main saloon opens onto a sprawling cockpit where you'll spend your evenings, with clear sightlines forward and trampoline space that makes the bridge between the twin hulls feel like an extension of deck life. Two hulls transform how a catamaran lives at sea and at rest. Westerlund (ANU) holds position at anchor with remarkable stability, rarely rolling even in modest swells. The shallow draft means you can nose into bays and anchor off beaches that monohulls can't reach, opening up the small islands, reefs, and protected waters around Barbuda, the Grenadines, and Guadeloupe. The wide platform between the hulls creates genuine living space—not just cabin volume, but sociable deck real estate and a gallery that doesn't feel cramped when cooking for a group. A bareboat week from Antigua typically loops through islands within a day or two of sailing, with consistent trade winds and clear navigation. The catamaran's beam and stability make this achievable without constant physical effort, leaving time for swimming, snorkeling, and simply being present on the water.
