Bootscharter in Antigua und Barbuda · Lagoon 42 in Antigua / Nelson's Dockyard — “Copernicus (ANU)” — (2020)

Nelson's Dockyard remains the Caribbean's most strategic sailing hub, and Copernicus (ANU)—a 2020 Lagoon 42—puts you at the heart of it. From this historic anchorage in Antigua, you're positioned to reach the Leewards' best sailing in either direction: north to Barbuda's untouched beaches and reefs, or south toward Montserrat's dramatic coastline and the string of islands beyond. A week's cruising from here offers consistent trade winds, protected bays, and the kind of varied sailing where every day feels different. The catamaran's twin hulls deliver what monohulls cannot: genuine stability when you're anchored in open water, a shallow draft that opens up beach landings and bay anchorages, and a hull separation that creates real living space. Four separate cabins and four bathrooms mean twelve guests travel with genuine privacy rather than bunking in close quarters. The saloon runs between both hulls, giving you a bright, open gathering space with sightlines forward and aft. On deck, the wide trampolines bridge the gap between hulls—a rare luxury for lounging or simply watching the water glide beneath you. The cockpit sits high enough to catch every breeze while remaining protected. Bareboat chartering puts the boat and itinerary entirely in your hands. Whether you're an experienced crew or sailors completing your bareboat qualifications, Copernicus (ANU) handles like the modern cruiser she is, with straightforward systems and responsive performance that rewards confident helmsmanship.
