Bootscharter in Französisch-Polynesien · Lagoon 380 S2 in Papeete, Tahiti / Papeete — “Poe Vai” — (2017)

From Papeete's sheltered anchorage, Poe Vai opens a direct route into the Society Islands and beyond—a 2017 Lagoon 380 S2 built for groups who want genuine comfort without compromise. Four cabins and two bathrooms mean couples, friends and multi-generational crews can spread out properly, each cabin with its own enclosed head and shower, the saloon positioned amidships to catch breezes and serve as the gathering hub for meals and evening conversation. The twin hulls are what make this boat work. They keep you stable at single-point anchorages in the deep blue, but equally important, they draw just 1.2 metres—shallow enough to explore the protected lagoons and beach anchorages where monohulls cannot venture. Eight berths across four cabins mean you're not cramping anyone into a V-berth; the master suite runs the full beam of the starboard hull, and there's proper standing room in the saloon and galley. The trampolines and foredeck offer genuine living space, not just a place to tidy the fenders. A week from Papeete lets you sail the Leewards—Huahine, Raiatea, Bora Bora—anchoring in bays that look untouched. The reliable Yammer engines handle the occasional windless stretch, and modern furling systems mean you're not wrestling ancient sails. Poe Vai is rigged to let you sail or motor with equal confidence, opening up islands and atolls that demand flexibility, not just wind.
