Bootscharter in Französisch-Polynesien · Ocean Voyager 53 in Papeete, Tahiti / Papeete — “Poevasion” — (2019)

Papeete's position as the gateway to the Society Islands and Tuamotu atolls makes Poevasion an ideal platform for a week's exploration across French Polynesia's most varied waters. This 2019 Ocean Voyager 53 catamaran gives you the stable platform and shallow draft needed to move between deep channels and tight lagoons, shifting your anchorages from busy protected bays to isolated coral gardens throughout the voyage. Below deck, the three cabins sleep five guests in private spaces arranged around the central saloon. One bathroom serves the group, practical for families or close friends who coordinate their routines. The saloon itself sits high in the bridge deck, with views forward and good air circulation. The galley sits forward of that, efficient rather than elaborate. Up top, the cockpit sprawls across the 7.5-meter beam, offering shelter or exposure depending on the weather—most days you'll find crew and guests moving between the shaded hardtop and the open trampolines that stretch between the hulls. The foredeck carries minimal clutter, leaving space to move safely at anchor or to enjoy the bow views in the early light. Twin hulls deliver real advantages on this cruising pattern. You sit level at anchor with minimal motion, even in the fetch between islands. The shallow 1.3-meter draft slides over sand and coral that would stop a monohull, opening anchorages near the beach villages and remote motus that define a Polynesian cruising holiday. The double hull also means interior volume and cabin privacy that single-hulled boats can't match. For five people sharing a week at sea, that combination of stability, access, and personal space transforms the journey.
