Bootscharter in Frankreich · Saba 50 in Cogolin / Les Marines de Cogolin — “Serenity” — (2016)

From Cogolin's waterfront, Serenity sits ready to carry eight guests into the heart of the Mediterranean. This 2016 Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 offers the kind of practical comfort that transforms a week at sea from exhausting to genuinely relaxing. Four separate cabins mean families and friends scatter to their own spaces, each with its own bathroom—a genuine luxury when living aboard. The main saloon feels open and airy, flowing naturally onto the cockpit where the wheel and controls sit positioned for easy handling. Out forward, the dual trampolines stretched between the hulls become the day's gathering place, a suspended deck where you can watch the water slip beneath you or simply drift while reading. Two hulls transform everything about living on water. Serenity sits rock-solid at anchor, barely moving when other boats rock and sway. That shallow 1.5-meter draft means you reach beaches and island anchorages that deeper-hulled vessels must avoid—the quiet corners where the real Côte d'Azur reveals itself. The 8.5-meter beam creates genuine internal width; cabins don't feel like corridors, and moving around the boat never means squeezing past anyone. Bareboat sailing here suits confident crews, with straightforward systems and responsive handling. From Cogolin, you're positioned perfectly for the week ahead. The Îles d'Hyères islands lie within easy reach, the Esterel's red rocks frame dramatic anchorages, and smaller fishing villages dot the coast. Serenity gives you the boat and the base to explore them properly.
