Bootscharter in Französisch-Polynesien · Saba 50 in Raiatea / Marina de Uturoa — “Purpose” — (2014)

Raiatea's lagoon is your starting point aboard Purpose, a Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 that gives eight guests a floating island of their own. From Marina de Uturoa, you can reach Bora Bora in hours or slip into the shallow bays and atolls that bigger monohulls cannot access. The catamaran's shallow draft opens up anchorages closer to shore, where the water is calmest and the beaches most protected. Life on board revolves around space and stability. The two hulls keep Purpose level at anchor and underway, so you're not gripping furniture or bracing yourself during the passage. Six cabins and six bathrooms mean no queuing, no compromise—each guest has their own berth and ensuite facilities. The wide saloon sits between the hulls, naturally cool and open to breezes. The cockpit and trampolines run the full beam of the boat, making that 7.84-metre width something you feel every time you move around deck. Morning swims come from the swim platform; sunset drinks happen on loungers where you can watch the light change over Tahitian peaks. Whether anchored in crystalline water or underway on the trade winds, the catamaran's stability transforms a week's sailing. The professional crew handles navigation and seamanship, leaving you free to absorb the islands—the Society Islands' dramatic geography, quiet anchorages in Faanu and Tupai, and the particular rhythms of Polynesian hospitality. Purpose is built to keep you comfortable while going exactly where monohulls cannot.
