Boat charter in Belize · Leopard 42 in Placencia — “Moorings 4200/3/3 Club” — (2022)

Placencia's shallow anchorages and maze of cayes make it ideal for the Moorings 4200/3/3 Club's shallow 1.33-meter draft. This 2022 Leopard 42 reaches narrow lagoons and sandy bottoms where monohulls cannot, letting you drop anchor in gin-clear water just metres from mangrove coves and empty beaches. The catamaran's twin hulls provide the stability that matters when you're resting at anchor for the evening or holding position while snorkeling the reef. Below deck, three separate cabins serve couples and families equally well. Two hulls mean each cabin sits apart from engine noise, and the full-width saloon runs between them, creating an open plan that's rare on boats this size. Three bathrooms and a galley designed for provisioning mean eight guests can cruise comfortably for a week without feeling cramped. The trampoline netting spans the bow, and the wide foredecks give you safe space to relax, fish, or prepare meals in the breeze. From Placencia, you're positioned to reach the Belize Barrier Reef in a half-day sail, or spend time island-hopping through Half Moon Caye, Tobacco Caye, and the Silk Cayes. The spacious cockpit handles bareboat sailing without fuss, while the shallow draft means you can explore rivers and coastal shallows where few yachts venture. A week aboard lets you drift between remote anchorages and busy fishing villages on your own schedule.
