Boat charter in French Polynesia · Lagoon 400 S2 in Papeete, Tahiti / Papeete — “Poe Miti” — (2016)

From Papeete's waterfront, Poe Miti reaches into French Polynesia's most rewarding cruising grounds within days. The Society Islands, Tuamotu atolls, and remote anchorages that larger boats struggle to access lie within this catamaran's range and shallow-draft capability. A week aboard opens paths to lagoons and bays where single-hulled vessels cannot go, and where eight people can spread across four private cabins and two bathrooms without the usual competition for space. Twin hulls mean genuine stability at anchor, so you stay level and comfortable whether riding out gentle swells or sitting still in a glassy lagoon. The 400 S2 design gives you deck real estate most boats half its size cannot match: trampolines strung between the bows for morning coffee, a wide cockpit for helming and gathering, and a saloon that feels spacious rather than cramped. Below, the cabin layout separates your group into genuine privacy—not bunks squeezed into a tiny hull but proper sleeping areas, each with headroom and breathing room. The twin-hull platform handles provisions and water storage generously, letting you stay longer at remote anchorages rather than rushing back to resupply. Whether you come bareboat or hire crew, Poe Miti delivers the practical advantages of catamaran charter: beam and stability for families, shallow draft for exploring, and enough volume to make a week with friends feel like luxury, not camping. The Lagoon 400 S2 is built to sail these waters and hold its own when conditions turn interesting.
