Bootscharter in Guadeloupe · Lagoon 42 in Guadeloupe / Pointe-à-Pitre / Marina Bas-du-Fort — “Tidre” — (2017)

From Marina Bas-du-Fort in Pointe-à-Pitre, Tidre reaches the Grenadines, Dominica, and the bays of central Guadeloupe within a day's sail. This 2017 Lagoon 42 is laid out for groups and families who want real space without compromise. Four cabins and four en-suite bathrooms mean no negotiation over facilities; each cabin sleeps two, with the owner's suite and three guest cabins spread across both hulls so people have privacy and breathing room. Life on board revolves around the wide deck. The saloon is positioned for views and ventilation, the cockpit gives helm and crew room to move, and the bridging trampolines forward are where you'll spend mornings watching the water change colour. The shallow 1.25-metre draft is practical: you anchor where monohulls cannot, in protected shallows and over sand rather than just deep channels. The beam of 7.34 metres means the saloon doesn't feel narrow, cabins aren't squeezed boxes, and the foredeck sunbathing area is genuinely generous. Two hulls deliver what matters for Caribbean cruising. Tidre sits flat at anchor, no rolling when the trade wind gusts, no nausea at dawn. The dual-hull platform absorbs chop better than you'd expect, letting ten people relax without the motion that drains energy over a week. The stability at anchor and ability to explore shallow bays and beaches are the real dividends of multihull design. A week from Guadeloupe opens up serious cruising ground with real comfort built in.
