Bootscharter in Guadeloupe · Lagoon 38 in Guadeloupe / Pointe-à-Pitre / Marina Bas-du-Fort — “DOUDOU” — (2025)

From Marina Bas-du-Fort in Pointe-à-Pitre, DOUDOU opens up a week of island-hopping across Guadeloupe's anchorages, from the protected waters around Deshaies to the reefs and shallow bays that define bareboat cruising here. This 2025 Lagoon 38 is built for groups: four separate cabins sleep ten guests in comfort, with two full bathrooms to match. You'll find everything you need to cook and live aboard in the galley and saloon, while the wide beam creates standing room and flow through the main living space. What makes a catamaran the right choice becomes clear when you're anchored. The shallow 1.25-meter draft takes you where single-hulled boats cannot—into glassy bays, alongside white-sand beaches, and through the narrow passes between islands. The two hulls give you stability at rest, so the boat sits flat and steady even without engines running. The deck space is genuinely different too: twin trampolines forward invite you to relax and watch the water, while the bridging foredeck and cockpit give crew room to move safely around sails and anchoring gear. Twin engines handle the passages between islands with predictable performance, and the modern furling sails make sail handling straightforward whether you're learning or leading the crew. Seven days based here means real exploration: sail to Iles des Saintes, anchor off Marie-Galante, or push south toward Dominica. DOUDOU's layout and shallow draft transform a bareboat week into genuine freedom to discover what matters most to your group.
