Bootscharter in Guadeloupe · Lagoon 42 in Guadeloupe / Pointe-à-Pitre / Marina Bas-du-Fort — “Baghira” — (2024)

Baghira departs from Marina Bas-du-Fort into the heart of the Guadeloupe archipelago, where shallow bays and protected anchorages reward the shallow draft of a modern catamaran. The dual-hull design means you'll sit confidently at anchor with minimal swing, even when the trade wind picks up. With four separate cabins and four full bathrooms, this Lagoon 42 accommodates ten guests across a layout that gives everyone privacy and space—crucial when a week's cruising puts a group or family together on water. The saloon sits forward between the hulls, flooded with natural light and open to the cockpit through wide sliding doors. The galley and dinette anchor daily life, while the cockpit's bimini canopy creates a social hub for navigation and meals. Two trampolines stretch across the bow, catching the breeze and the views as you sail toward Pigeon Island or the northern islands. The foredeck layout keeps lines clear and working straightforward. From Pointe-à-Pitre, a week reaches the Îles des Saintes, Marie-Galante, and the Dominica Passage beyond. The catamaran's beam provides motion comfort on passage and makes anchoring in tight, scenic spots feasible where monohulls cannot go. Whether you're seeking anchorages accessible only in shallow water or simply want the roominess and stability a twin-hull platform delivers, Baghira opens that cruising ground to bareboat charters of real substance.
