Bootscharter in Portugal · Lucia 40 in Portimao / Marina de Portimao — “Summer Sun” — (2018)

Portimão's Marina offers direct access to the Algarve's golden coastline and becomes your launchpad aboard Summer Sun, a 2018 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 built to thrive in shallow Portuguese waters. The twin hulls sit low in the water, letting you slip into coves and bays that monohulls cannot reach, while their wide separation means no rolling when anchored—essential comfort for families and groups who want stability underfoot. Below deck, four cabins and four full bathrooms mean no queuing or compromise: each guest has genuine privacy and space. The saloon opens to both hulls, creating an airy social spine where you gather for meals and evening drinks. The galley sits central and efficient, within arm's reach of dining and relaxation. Up top, the twin trampolines stretched between the hulls become your reward after a morning's sail—a safe, drying platform for swimming or simply watching the water pass beneath you. The foredeck gives you room to move when raising sail or just enjoying unobstructed views. The boat's beam and stability make a full week's cruising feel unhurried. You can anchor off quiet beaches, explore protected river mouths, push toward the Spanish border, or spend days threading the rocky inlets of the Algarve. Summer Sun handles the journey with twin Yammer diesel engines and a furling mainsail system, leaving you free to focus on where you want to be tomorrow.
