Boat charter in Italy · Lagoon 42 in Castiglioncello / Marina Cala de' Medici — “Bellatrix” — (2024)

Stepping aboard Bellatrix, a brand-new 2024 Lagoon 42, you'll find a catamaran designed around how groups actually live at sea. Four separate cabins and four full bathrooms mean no queue for the shower after a morning swim. The saloon stretches across both hulls with large windows, creating a naturally lit gathering space that works equally well for a rainy afternoon or a casual dinner prep. Up on deck, the wide trampolines bridging the hulls become the social heart of your week—a place to read, talk, or simply drift while anchored in perfect stillness. The dual-hull design isn't just comfort. Those two hulls keep Bellatrix stable at anchor, whether you're in a crowded bay or a secluded cove, eliminating the constant rock and roll of monohulls. The shallow draft opens up the Tuscan archipelago's best-kept secrets: beaches and protected anchorages that deep-keeled boats can't reach. You'll carry supplies and guests across 12 berths without the cramped feel of a single-hull charter, and the wide beam gives the cockpit proper room for steering, lounging, and managing sails. Based at Marina Cala de' Medici in Castiglioncello, Bellatrix sits at the gateway to Elba, Gorgona, and Capraia. A week's bareboat charter gives you the flexibility to follow the wind and anchor where the water is clearest, exploring the Tuscan coast on your own schedule without the constraints of a crewed itinerary.
