Boat charter in Spain · Lagoon 40 in Ibiza / Marina Port Ibiza — “Eskimo” — (2020)

Ibiza's sheltered Marina Port Ibiza is the perfect launch point for Eskimo, where you can slip away into the Mediterranean's most diverse sailing ground within hours. This Lagoon 40 catamaran from 2020 combines the dual-hull stability that makes catamarans so compelling—rock-steady at anchor and shallow enough to beach in the protected bays around Formentera—with the living space to keep eleven guests comfortable for a week. Inside, four cabins and two bathrooms mean no compromises when cruising with a full group or family. The saloon runs the full width of the bridge deck, with unobstructed sightlines that pull the seascape indoors. Forward, the cockpit sits elevated enough that watch-keeping and entertaining happen in the same breath. The wide trampolines connecting the hulls are where people migrate on warm afternoons, while the foredeck gives you space to move safely when anchored or under way. At 11.74 meters, Eskimo feels roomy without being unwieldy, and the twin engines handle the longer hops between the Pitiusas and islands beyond. Bareboat freedom here means reaching places that day-trip speedboats never touch: quiet anchorages off Espalmador, the underwater caves of Es Vedrà's far side, or the pale sands and cave bars of Cala Conta. The catamaran's shallow draft opens shallow anchorages, while the twin hulls kill the roll that makes seasickness inevitable on narrower boats. A week from Ibiza lets you sail properly or barely move at all.
