Bootscharter in Brasilien · Lagoon 40 in Paraty / Marina Farol de Paraty — “BALACOBACO” — (2023)

Paraty's emerald bay and granite islands demand a boat built for easy anchoring and shallow exploration—and the twin hulls of BALACOBACO deliver exactly that. This 2023 Lagoon 40 sits flat at rest, holds her position effortlessly on modest tackle, and draws just 1.2 meters, opening access to the beaches and coves that monohulls cannot reach. Four cabins and four ensuite bathrooms mean no negotiation about comfort: eight guests spread across proper staterooms, each with privacy and fresh water showers, while the saloon sits open to the cockpit for seamless entertaining and meal prep. Life on board happens across connected spaces. The saloon flows into the cockpit where helm and companionway align so the skipper keeps sight of deck action. Wide transoms connect both hulls at the stern—sit here for sundowners or swimming. Forward, the trampoline between the bows becomes another world: secluded, surrounded by air, perfect for reading or watching the water. The foredeck gives access to anchor gear and offers views uncluttered by cabin house bulk. Bareboat from Farol de Paraty opens a 120-kilometer cruising range. Sail northwest toward Angra dos Reis and its scattered anchorages, or southeast along the Costa Verde toward quieter settlements. The wide beam and dual-engine redundancy make BALACOBACO manageable single-handed if needed, though families and friends typically divide watch and watch, sharing the load and the freedom.
