Bootscharter in Dodecanese · Lucia 40 in Rhodes New Marina — “Fortuna” — (2020)

Rhodes New Marina positions Fortuna perfectly for Dodecanese exploration, with the shallow draft and light weight of twin hulls letting you slip into anchorages that mono-hulls cannot reach. That shallow draft opens entire weekends around Symi, Panormitis, and the smaller isles—places where traditional boats still shelter undisturbed. For eight guests spread across four cabins and four bathrooms, the catamaran's beam creates something unusual: genuine private space and a saloon that never feels cramped, even when the group gathers indoors. Life aboard follows the hull configuration. Each cabin has its own ensuite, so mornings run smoothly. The saloon runs the full width between hulls, making it naturally bright and ventilated. The cockpit is spacious enough for a night watch to feel comfortable and for daytime lounging without crowding. The twin trampolines forward give you a genuine foredeck—soft net strung between the bows where you can lie and watch islands materialize ahead, and where anchor watch becomes less like duty than geography. Twin hulls mean motion stops. At anchor, Fortuna sits planted, swinging predictably without the roll that tires crews in bigger seas. That stability is not abstract comfort; it changes how a week feels. Coming back aboard tired, everything stays where you left it. The shallow draft lets you climb out of stronger winds into protected bays where the water is clear and blue. This is why families and sailing groups choose catamarans, and why this particular boat, based in Rhodes, opens that choice to the Aegean.
