Bootscharter in Spanien · Isla 40 in Mallorca / Palma de Mallorca / La Lonja Marina Charter — “Maloja” — (2023)

Stepping aboard Maloja from La Lonja Marina in Palma opens immediate access to Mallorca's best anchorages and the broader Balearic sailing grounds within a day's reach. This 2023 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 is built for groups: four separate cabins and two bathrooms distribute eight guests across the twin hulls with genuine privacy, while the saloon and open cockpit offer plenty of room to gather, cook, and share meals without crowding. The wide platform between the hulls—characteristic of catamaran design—brings you closer to the water, and the foredeck and trampolines give crew and guests safe, stable places to move freely underway. The twin hulls deliver real advantages on the water. At anchor, Maloja sits rock-still in most conditions; there's barely any swing or roll when others around you are pitching. The shallow 1.40-meter draft unlocks the shallow bays and beach anchorages that deeper monohulls cannot reach, letting you explore Mallorca's protected coves and approach islands from angles that matter. Two hulls also mean two independent engine compartments and wider cabin soles, so the interior never feels cramped despite carrying eight people for a week. From Palma, a week's cruising covers the pine-clad inlets of the northwest coast, the crystalline anchorages around Ibiza's quieter shores, or the quieter Balearic islands offshore. The catamaran's stability, space, and shallow draft combine to make group sailing relaxed rather than logistical.
