Bootscharter in Martinique · Excess 14 in Martinique / Le Marin — “ULYS II” — (2024)

Moored in Le Marin, the cruising heartland of Martinique, ULYS II gives you immediate access to the island's most rewarding anchorages—from the turquoise shallows off Saintes to the protected bays that dot the Grenadines. This 2024 Excess 14 arrives ready for a bareboat week, with six cabins and four bathrooms spread across dual hulls, meaning no queuing for facilities and genuine breathing room for a full crew of 12. Step below and the catamaran's two-hull design becomes clear: symmetry, headroom, and cabins positioned where monohulls have only narrow sidedecks. The saloon anchors the central bridge, giving everyone sightlines while sailing. The galley is accessible underway. Forward, each hull holds sleeping berths, with bathrooms stationed logically nearby. Topside, the wide trampolines between the hulls frame your view during anchorages, and the foredeck opens onto open water without the claustrophobia of a narrow bow. That shallow 1.3-meter draft transforms your week. You'll reach anchorages other charter boats skip—glassy bays where you're completely sheltered, white-sand shallows perfect for swimming or settling at dusk. The catamaran's beam keeps you stable at anchor in light swells, letting everyone relax rather than sway. Two engines and substantial fuel reserves push you between islands efficiently, so you're spending your time exploring, not motoring endlessly. From Le Marin, you're positioned to thread the Lesser Antilles with genuine freedom.
