Volos is your launchpad for the Sporades—islands scattered across the northwest Aegean where pine forests meet turquoise water and few larger yachts can follow. Alkyone, a 2020 Lagoon 450 Fly, sits ready to take 12 guests into those shallow bays and hidden anchorages where the catamaran's 1.45-meter draft works its advantage. Two hulls mean room to breathe: a wide, stable platform at anchor, enough space for families or sailing groups to spread across five separate cabins, and a laid-back atmosphere that a monohull cannot match.

On deck, Alkyone's Fly bridge gives you an elevated vantage for navigation and a natural gathering spot when the sun slides down. Below, the saloon opens into a proper galley where cooking and company merge. The five bathrooms handle the logistics of 12 people without anyone queueing. Cabins range from larger doubles to efficient berths, each thoughtfully positioned so everyone gets privacy and comfort.

A week from Volos branches into countless directions. Head north to Skiathos and Skopelos for villages hewn into hillsides. Drift east toward Alonissos and its marine park, where the water runs deep blue and dolphins are part of the scenery. The shallow draft lets you anchor where superyachts cannot, tucking into coves and off isolated beaches.
