Based in Seget Donji on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, DESAFINADO sits perfectly positioned to explore some of the Mediterranean's most sheltered anchorages and island-studded bays. This 2020 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 sleeps twelve guests across six cabins, each with its own bathroom or shared facilities among nearby cabins, so families and friend groups can spread out without compromise. The main saloon and cockpit flow into one another, creating a social hub where guests naturally gather while the galley crew prepares meals. Step forward and the trampolines stretch invitingly across the bows, while the foredeck offers a quieter vantage point for sunrise or anchorages that feel like your own discovery.

What makes a catamaran choice matter here is draft and stability. DESAFINADO's twin hulls draw just 1.2 metres, letting you anchor in shallow bays and beach coves where monohulls cannot reach. At anchor, those two hulls eliminate the rolling motion that can wear on guests during a week afloat—you'll sleep well and move about the deck without careful footing. The beam of 8.5 metres also means real cabin width, genuine saloon space, and room enough that twelve people never feel crowded.

From Seget Donji, a week's sailing opens Hvar, Korcula, and the Elaphiti Islands.
