Najam plovila u Italija · Lagoon 40 in Sicily / Furnari / Marina Portorosa — “Altea” — (2021)

Marina Portorosa sits on Sicily's northern coast, a natural harbour surrounded by limestone hills and within easy reach of the Aeolian Islands. Altea, a 2021 Lagoon 40, is built to make the most of this location. From here, a bareboat week unfolds across shallow bays, hidden anchorages, and the dramatic volcanic landscapes that draw sailors back to this corner of the Mediterranean year after year. Living aboard Altea works because the Lagoon 40's twin hulls do what they're designed to do. The wide beam creates generous cabin space—six cabins and five bathrooms for up to 12 guests, which means families and friend groups actually have room to spread out. The saloon sits open to the cockpit, and the trampolines between the hulls give you a deck to lounge on without leaving the boat. The shallow 1.25-metre draft opens anchorages where deeper monohulls cannot go, letting you tuck into coves and beach stops that feel untouched. When you're at anchor, that dual-hull stability matters: the boat sits flat and comfortable, not rocking through the night. From Furnari, the cruising options are straightforward. Head north to Stromboli and Panarea with their thermal waters and black-sand beaches, explore the quiet bays around Salina, or sail west toward the Tyrrhenian coast. The catamaran's engine and modern systems handle the week without fuss, giving you time to swim, explore, and anchor where the view is worth staying.
