Najam plovila u Gulf of Taranto · Isla 40 in Taranto — “My Way” — (2021)

Taranto's sheltered Ionian anchorage is the natural launchpad for My Way, a 2021 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 built to thrive in Mediterranean conditions. From here, a week's bareboat charter opens the lesser-sailed bays and shallow waters that larger monohulls cannot reach—the hidden coastlines of southern Italy, the Greek islands, and the network of protected anchorages that make the region so rewarding for crews seeking variety without crowds. Living aboard works seamlessly across My Way's four cabins and four bathrooms, a rare equal-berth arrangement on a 40-footer that removes the usual compromises of shared facilities. The saloon sits high between the two hulls, granting 360-degree sightlines and genuine floor space for eight people to gather without crowding. Topside, the foredeck stretches wide and safe, while the trampolines bridging the hulls become the boat's best feature—acres of netting to laze on, soak up the view, or simply sprawl out with a book. The catamaran's twin hulls are the real story. Anchored in open roadsteads, that stability means gentle nights with minimal swinging and motion. The shallow 1.2-metre draft lets you explore beaches and anchorages where deep-keel boats must anchor distant and ferried ashore. The beam gives genuine cabin width and a cockpit that doesn't feel like a compromise. For a mixed group or multi-family week, My Way trades the narrow efficiency of monohull design for the comfort and space that transforms a sailing holiday into something genuinely liveable.
