Najam plovila u Grčka · Isla 40 in Volos / Port of Volos — “Vetrohod” — (2021)

From Volos, Vetrohod opens access to some of Greece's most rewarding cruising grounds. The Sporades lie within easy reach, offering sheltered anchorages and traditional island villages, while the Ionian islands to the west provide a quieter alternative with dramatic coastal scenery. The catamaran's shallow draft—typical of the Isla 40 design—means you can explore narrow bays and beach anchorages that monohulls cannot access, and approach villages where larger vessels cannot venture. Living aboard works well for ten guests across five separate cabins with four bathrooms, reducing queues and respecting personal space during a week away. The twin hulls create a wide, stable platform at anchor, so you won't swing restlessly when the wind picks up or roll when a ferry passes. Forward, the trampolines between the bows offer a favourite spot for watching the approach to an island or simply floating above clear water. The saloon sits well-protected between the hulls, and the open cockpit aft provides shelter for meals and navigation. Vetrohod's beam distributes weight across two hulls rather than one, which translates to less motion underway and more usable floor space throughout the vessel. This layout suits families and groups who need genuine separation between sleeping quarters, and prefer gathering spaces that feel generous rather than tight. A bareboat week from Volos typically combines easy day-sails with unhurried exploration, letting you set your own pace across Mediterranean water.
