Over a bareboat week, you'll have time to thread through the granite islands of the Maddalena archipelago, anchor in the turquoise shallows of Cala dei Sardi, and test out the hidden coves that line the Costa Smeralda. The catamaran twin hulls make all of this easier: they sit shallow enough to reach the beaches and bays others can't, and they hold rock-solid at anchor so you can relax rather than watch the boat swing nervously.

Living aboard for a week means the layout matters. Four separate cabins let couples and families have their privacy, while the four full bathrooms mean no queuing at dawn.
