Boat charter in British Virgin Islands · Sunsail 424 in Tortola / Road Town / Wickhams Cay II Marina — “Sunsail 424/4/4 Premium Plus” — (2025)

The Sunsail 424/4/4 Premium Plus offers a rare combination of space and seaworthiness for groups and families exploring the British Virgin Islands. Moored at Road Town's Wickhams Cay II Marina, this 12.8-meter catamaran sits perfectly positioned to reach everywhere from the Bight of Norman Island's anchorages to the sheltered waters around Anegada—a multi-day arc that suits both sailors and those new to bareboat chartering. Living aboard rewards group dynamics. Four separate cabins with matching en-suite bathrooms mean couples, families, or friends each enjoy private retreat space. The twin-hulled design naturally prevents the roll that single-hull boats create at anchor, so cabins remain calm even when moored in open roadsteads. A central saloon with dining and galley flows onto a protected cockpit; the two hulls create a substantial bridging platform between them, where full-width trampolines and an open foredeck provide social gathering space without crowd. This is where the group congregates to watch sunsets, spot marine life, or simply lounge between sailing legs. Shallow draft—just 1.25 meters—opens access to sandy bays and reef-studded shallows where deeper boats cannot venture. The cat's beam and two separate hulls deliver genuine stability under sail and at rest, crucial when managing 10 people and their varied sailing experience. Bareboat chartering from this base means self-guided exploration of protected anchorages, easy transitions between islands, and the freedom to build your own rhythm across the Virgin Islands' network of bays and passages.
