## About this Catamaran

Sukošan is a short hop north of Zadar, and MADRE PERLA, a 2022 Lagoon 42, is based at D-Marin Dalmacija Marina there, so a week on board starts close to the open Adriatic and the islands beyond. At 12.94 metres she carries six cabins and four bathrooms for up to twelve guests, with each cabin set apart so that couples and friends can keep their own space. The saloon and galley sit in the central part of the hulls, giving everyone a common table, and the cockpit is set up for steering, meals and long afternoons in the shade. Forward, the trampolines and foredeck offer a spot for sunbathing and watching the coast slide past.

The two hulls do most of the work. A catamaran sits level at anchor and rolls far less than a monohull in a beam sea, which makes the evenings in a quiet cove more comfortable for a large group. Her shallow draft lets her slip into bays and anchor closer to beaches than a deeper keel would allow, and the wide beam gives families and groups room to spread out without crowding one another.

From Sukošan, a week's cruising can take in the Kornati islands, the Zadar archipelago and the quieter harbours of the central Dalmatian coast.
