The Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 is built to make group sailing straightforward: five cabins and five bathrooms mean no negotiation over berths, and the catamaran's wide, stable platform keeps everyone comfortable whether anchored off a beach or sailing in a chop.

The two hulls do the real work here. They hold Astrea steady at anchor without constant swinging, sit shallow enough to approach bars and sandy coves where monohulls cannot, and spread the living space generously across both sides. Cabins radiate from a central saloon that opens to the cockpit; the galley sits efficiently amidships; and bathrooms are distributed so mornings run smoothly with a full crew. Above deck, trampolines span the bows, the foredeck gives safe working space, and the cockpit seats eight comfortably for sailing or dinner.
