Boat charter in Italy · Astréa 42 in Sicily / Palermo / La Cala (Porto Palermo) — “Rossa” — (2025)

Palermo's sheltered anchorages and the Tyrrhenian Sea beyond open up when you board Rossa, a 2025 Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 built for groups and families who want room to breathe. Eight guests spread across four cabins with four ensuite bathrooms means nobody shares, and the 7.2-meter beam gives everyone genuine space rather than compromise. The twin hulls sit shallow at 1.35 meters, letting Rossa reach beaches and quiet bays that deeper monohulls cannot, while the broad platform keeps the boat level whether you're at anchor or underway. Living aboard Rossa centers around the saloon, where large windows flood the interior with Mediterranean light. Crew prepare meals in the galley while guests relax indoors or step straight onto the expansive cockpit. Up forward, the trampolines and foredeck invite you to recline with the sea at hand, feeling the catamaran's stability even when anchored. Movement between cabins is fluid, bathrooms are private, and the air-conditioning runs quietly throughout. From La Cala in Palermo, a week's cruising reaches Mondello, Ustica, and the Aeolian Islands, with the shallow draft letting you explore limestone coves and fishing villages unreachable by conventional yachts. Rossa's dual Yanmar engines and modern rig give your crew the choice of sailing or power, while the 400-liter fuel tank extends your range across Sicily's most rewarding waters. This is catamaran charter designed for comfort and genuine exploration.
