Boat charter in France · Excess 14 in Grimaud / Port Grimaud — “Salty 3” — (2026)

Port Grimaud's sheltered waters and proximity to the Maures islands make it an ideal launchpad for a week's exploration, and Salty 3—a 2026 Excess 14—offers the spaciousness and stability that larger groups need to make the most of it. With four cabins and four bathrooms spread across nearly 14 meters, each guest enjoys genuine privacy and comfort rather than the compromises typical of smaller chartered vessels. The catamaran's dual hulls deliver stability that matters when anchoring overnight, while its shallow 1.27-meter draft opens access to coves and shallow bays you'd struggle to reach elsewhere. Below deck, the saloon and galley occupy the bridge between hulls, leaving each hull optimized for cabins and heads. On deck, the trampolines spanning the bow and the open cockpit serve as the social hub, while the flybridge provides the perspective and space groups seek for watching sunsets or managing sail trimming together. For bareboat charterers, the layout rewards confidence. The modern furling rig and twin engines handle reliably, the dual-hull design keeps guests comfortable during longer passages, and from this base you're positioned between the protected Riviera coast and deeper cruising grounds. A week from Port Grimaud lets you balance sheltered anchorages with genuine exploration—exactly what a boat this size, with this beam and this draft, was designed for.
