Boat charter in Martinique · Excess 11 in Martinique / Le Marin — “STAR III” — (2023)

From Le Marin, STAR III sits ready to explore the Windward Islands—a 2023 Excess 11 with room for eight guests and the hull design that makes Caribbean bareboat sailing accessible and secure. Two hulls mean you sleep and anchor without the roll that monohull sailors accept, and you draw less water, so you reach the shallow bays and reef-protected anchorages where the best light falls at sunset. The layout suits groups well. Four cabins let couples and families spread out, and two bathrooms mean mornings run smoothly. The saloon opens to the sea on three sides, so you cook, eat and relax in air and breeze. Outside, the cockpit is spacious and safe—hard to fall off a catamaran—and the twin trampolines forward give you a front-row seat to dolphins and the curve of coastline as you sail. That broad foredeck is where you watch the anchor set and feel the stillness that comes with the trade winds fading at dusk. A week from Le Marin opens the whole arc: you can sail north to Dominica and its anchorages tucked beneath rainforest, or south toward St. Lucia and the Grenadines, where the wind stays steady and the reefs are close. Shallow draft means you're not confined to marked channels. The stability of two hulls means your guests—whether keen sailors or first-timers—feel confident, not worried. STAR III gives you the platform to move at your own pace and discover what matters to you.
