From Raiatea's Apooiti Marina, the Sunsail 424/4/4 Classic launches you into the heart of French Polynesia's lagoon network. This 12.80-meter catamaran sits at the sweet spot for group sailing—spacious enough for ten guests across four separate cabins with private ensuite bathrooms, yet nimble enough to slip into the shallow anchorages and sheltered bays that make the Society Islands legendary. You'll find the living easy: the twin hulls keep you stable whether anchored or underway, the wide saloon works as both dining hub and gathering space, and the open cockpit flows naturally from the foredeck's generous trampolines where you'll spend your days reading, talking, and watching the water. Two hulls mean more than comfort. The catamaran's shallow draft opens passages to Tahaa's coral gardens and Bora Bora's inner reefs that deeper vessels cannot navigate. You sit rock-steady at anchor without the rolling that can exhaust crews on traditional monohulls, so even calm anchorages feel secure. The beam of a catamaran translates into real space: each cabin is a genuine retreat, not a coffin berth, and the four bathrooms mean mornings run smoothly with a full crew. A week bareboat from here spans the Society Islands at a natural pace. Day sails are short and manageable, the winds reliable, and every anchorage reveals something different. This is sailing that rewards both the experienced skipper wanting autonomy and the group seeking connection, anchored in turquoise water.
