From Marina Fort Louis in Marigot, the Sunsail 454L Premium opens up a week of island-hopping across Saint Martin and the Leewards without the constraints of traditional monohull sailing. This 2023 Leopard 45 catamaran is built for groups and families who want room to spread out and genuine comfort underway. Living aboard means four separate cabins with ten berths total, plus four bathrooms—practical distribution that lets guests maintain privacy and avoids the morning queue. The saloon sits between the twin hulls where natural light floods the main living space, while the cockpit remains social and sheltered. Outside, the trampoline netting stretches across the gap between hulls, and the foredeck offers genuine lounging space, not a cramped bow. The catamaran's twin hulls deliver what matters most: rock-solid stability at anchor so you can move freely without that rocking sensation, shallow 1.5-meter draft that reaches protected bays and sand-bar anchorages, and 8.39 meters of beam that converts to living space rather than ballast weight. Performance is responsive thanks to the furling mainsail and genoa, powered by twin Yammer engines when wind drops. Bareboat chartering from Marigot means planning your own course through the northern Caribbean—whether that's snorkeling reef systems, discovering quiet anchorages, or arriving in time for sunset drinks at busy islands. The Sunsail 454L Premium handles it all without requiring a crew, just confidence at the helm and good company below.
