Bootscharter in Ecuador · Power Catamaran in San Cristobal / Puerto Baquerizo Moreno / San Cristobal — “Ocean Spray” — (2011)

Moored in San Cristobal's Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Ocean Spray sits ready to unlock the Galápagos from your own floating base. This 34-meter power catamaran carries 16 guests across eight private cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom, so families and groups never compete for space or privacy. Below deck, the twin hulls create a saloon that feels far more generous than traditional monohulls, with natural light and a social hub where your crew can brief you on the day ahead and share evening meals. The cockpit above flows seamlessly into shaded areas, perfect for observing wildlife between shore visits or during the morning coffee ritual. The catamaran's two hulls deliver what single-hulled boats cannot: genuine stability at anchor off remote beaches and islands, shallow enough draft to approach bays that larger vessels avoid entirely, and the kind of interior volume that lets 16 people spread out without feeling crowded. The trampolines strung between hulls and the open foredeck become prized vantage points for spotting marine iguanas, penguins, and passing sharks. From San Cristobal, a week's itinerary can cover multiple islands—Española, Floreana, Isabela—while the smooth ride and reliable twin-engine performance mean more time snorkeling and kayaking, less time enduring rough seas. Ocean Spray operates under full crew care, with naturalists who interpret what you're seeing and experienced captains who navigate these waters with precision. This is how groups and families actually experience the Galápagos: together, comfortable, and close to shore.
