Bootscharter in Gulf of Taranto · New 44 in Taranto — “My Summer” — (2025)

Taranto sits at the heel of Italy's boot, giving My Summer direct access to the Ionian Sea's quietest anchorages and some of the Mediterranean's most sheltered bays. This 2025 New 44 catamaran is built for groups and families who want to feel genuinely at home on the water. Below deck, the layout separates you into four private cabins, each with its own bathroom. The galley sits central to the saloon, making meal preparation part of the social rhythm rather than a chore tucked away. The saloon itself opens widely to the cockpit, so you're never isolated whether you're cooking, dining, or simply watching the sun move across the water. Up on deck, the twin hulls create twin trampolines—generous, stable platforms perfect for reading or just lying back before you anchor. The foredeck flows forward without interruption, giving you the full run of the boat. Two hulls do more than look interesting. They give you stability at anchor that a monohull can't match, so no rocking when you're settled in a bay for the evening. The shallow draft lets you explore beaches and narrow coves where deeper-hulled boats can't go. And the sheer width means eight guests spread across cabins with real privacy, plus deck space where no one's crowded. Bareboat from Taranto for a week and you'll find yourself island-hopping through waters that feel less traveled than their reputation suggests. My Summer handles it all with the easy confidence of a boat designed specifically for this kind of cruising.
