Bootscharter in Italien · Leopard 40 in Sicily / Furnari / Marina Portorosa — “Sunsail 404 Classic” — (2020)

From Marina Portorosa, you can reach the Aeolian Islands in hours and explore coves along Sicily's northern coast that day sailors never find. The Sunsail 404 Classic gets you there with shallow draft that handles tight anchorages and bars, and twin hulls that hold steady while you're at rest. Four cabins sleep eight comfortably, with two bathrooms to match—a real advantage when you're cruising with families or a close group for a week. Living aboard works because the layout spreads you out. Two hulls mean side cabins with proper beam, a saloon that breathes, and a forward cabin that doesn't feel like a cave. The main deck flows from the saloon aft through a raised cockpit designed for both sailing and anchoring watch. Up front, the trampoline connects both hulls and gives you a genuine bow platform—somewhere to sit, swim, or simply watch approaching land. This 2020 Leopard catamaran handles well under sail or motor. From Furnari, a week opens onto multiple sailing grounds: the raw volcanic drama of Stromboli and Vulcano, the Greek Dodecanese if conditions favour it, or quieter Italian mainland anchorages. The stable platform means you can relax at anchor without rolling. The space means no one feels cramped. Bareboat from this base puts real freedom in reach.
