Bootscharter in Slowenien · Lavezzi 40 in Izola / Marina Izola — “Sampei” — (2004)

Marina Izola sits at the heart of Slovenia's Adriatic gateway, positioning Sampei perfectly for a week exploring the Istrian coast and the islands beyond. This 2004 Lavezzi 40 catamaran works beautifully for groups and families who value both space and seamanship, with four separate cabins sleeping eight guests across two full bathrooms. Living aboard Sampei means genuine comfort rather than compromise. The saloon flows naturally from the cockpit, creating one open living area perfect for shared meals and evening gatherings. The wide trampolines forward of the hulls offer a favourite spot for sunbathing or watching the water slip beneath you, while the foredeck remains clear and safe for movement. Below decks, each cabin has been fitted with thoughtful storage, and the twin hull design frees up cabin width you simply don't find in single-hull boats of this length. The catamaran's two hulls deliver the practical advantages that matter most at sea. Sampei sits dead stable when you drop anchor—no rolling in small swells, which means better sleep and easier galley work. Her 1.2-metre draft opens anchorages that deeper boats cannot reach, letting you nose into shallow bays, behind barrier islands, and right up to white-sand beaches. From Izola, a week's sailing reaches Rovinj and the Venetian islands to the south, or northward into the sheltered waters of the Gulf of Trieste. The shallow draft and spacious deck layout make Sampei equally rewarding whether you're planning a relaxed cruise or want room to move freely with a full complement of eight.
