Bootscharter in Griechenland · Lagoon 560 in Athens / Alimos Marina — “Avra II” — (2011)

Sailing from Athens' sheltered Alimos Marina puts you within reach of both the Cyclades and Sporades in a single week, and Avra II—a 2011 Lagoon 560—is built precisely for that arc of islands. Four separate cabins with en-suite bathrooms mean eight guests can maintain privacy without compromise, a comfort that matters on longer charters where groups need breathing room between meals and shared deck time. Twin hulls define how this catamaran lives at sea and at anchor. The shallow draft lets you slip into bays and beaches where monohulls cannot follow, while the beam between the hulls creates an extraordinary platform of stability. The saloon stretches across the full width, unbroken by a central keel, giving you genuine social space rather than a corridor. Outside, the trampoline netting between the bows becomes a daytime refuge, and the cockpit up top offers shelter with 360-degree awareness of what surrounds you. With an experienced crew handling sail and navigation, your role shifts to choosing anchorages and timing your days around the wind. Avra II's twin engines and fuel capacity mean you'll rarely compromise your itinerary for weather or distances between ports. The Lagoon 560 has earned its reputation among charter operators precisely because it absorbs the practical demands of group sailing—space, comfort, shallow-water access, and dependable performance—leaving guests free to focus on what brought them south.
