Bootscharter in Tansania · Lagoon 450 Fly in Zanzibar / Azam Marina — “Butterfly” — (2016)

Zanzibar's warm waters and island-studded horizons set the stage for a bareboat charter aboard Butterfly, a 2016 Lagoon 450 Fly that brings both practical sailing credentials and genuine comfort to a group adventure. Launching from Azam Marina, you'll find this 13.96-meter catamaran equipped to handle the varied conditions of the Indian Ocean—from protected bays where shallow draft opens up anchorages monohulls cannot reach, to open crossings where the dual hulls keep motion to a minimum and everyone onboard stays stable and comfortable. The layout works well for mixed groups and families. Six private cabins and four bathrooms mean guests rarely queue, while the saloon and cockpit provide natural gathering spaces. The fly bridge adds another dimension for those who want unobstructed sightlines and a quieter spot to retreat. Below, the galley and cabin arrangement show the Lagoon's decades of cruising design—practical rather than fussy, with real counter space and storage. Foredeck trampolines become a second living room once anchored, perfect for morning coffee or stargazing. Zanzibar opens doors to weeks of varied cruising. The nearby archipelago offers protected anchorages and small villages, while longer passages lead to coral gardens and deeper diving grounds. As a bareboat charter, Butterfly gives you the freedom to shape each day around wind, whim, and tidal gates. With ten berths across a spacious platform, costs per person drop significantly, and the shared experience of operating a capable vessel builds lasting memories.
