Bootscharter in Dodecanese · Lagoon 42 in Rhodes New Marina — “Art of Liberty” — (2020)

Sailing from Rhodes New Marina puts you within reach of some of the Mediterranean's most rewarding cruising grounds. The Art of Liberty, a 2020 Lagoon 42, gives you the platform to explore the Dodecanese archipelago with genuine comfort and stability. This catamaran's two hulls mean you can anchor confidently in shallow bays where monohulls cannot venture, approach beaches for swimming stops, and rest securely even when swells roll through open anchorages. Six cabins and four bathrooms let groups and families spread out without crowding. The main saloon and cockpit occupy the bridge deck between the hulls, flooded with light and offering clear sightlines in all directions. Two trampolines stretch across the bows, perfect for watching the water pass beneath you or stargazing at night. Below deck, the cabins tuck neatly into each hull, while the wide beam creates genuine living space rather than the narrow corridors of traditional sailing yachts. The galley is positioned for ease during meal prep, and the bathrooms support all ten guests without bottlenecks. Two hulls also mean reduced motion underway and at anchor, a genuine advantage for those less accustomed to sailing. With a shallow draft, you reach anchorages closed to deeper vessels. The Art of Liberty is straightforward to handle as a bareboat, with intuitive systems that reward competent seamanship without demanding specialist knowledge. From Rhodes, a week's itinerary might loop through Symi, Panormitis, and the wild coast of Tilos, or push south toward Karpathos and smaller islands where few tourists venture.
