Bootscharter in Martinique · Lagoon 42 in Martinique / Le Marin — “Uiara” — (2018)

From Le Marin in Martinique, Uiara gives you direct access to the Lesser Antilles' most rewarding sailing grounds—the Grenadines lie just two days south, while Dominica and the French islands cluster nearby. A 2018 Lagoon 42 built for groups and families, this four-cabin catamaran sleeps 10 across four bathrooms, so privacy and comfort remain intact even on longer cruises. The saloon feels open and connected to the cockpit, with good headroom and natural light; each cabin has its own character, from the full-beam owner's suite to the snug cabins that still work well for couples or children. The two hulls give you real advantages out here. At anchor, Uiara sits flat and steady—no rolling through the night. The shallow draft means you can slip into bays and reach anchorages that monohulls cannot, opening up protected swimming spots and isolated beaches. The wide deck space and trampolines forward let people spread out, and the hulls themselves create a natural buffer zone on either side that feels secure for families. Bareboat sailing from Martinique offers a complete week without the constraint of a tight itinerary. You set the pace: reef-hop toward Bequia and Mustique, spend days exploring Dominica's anchorages, or simply move between the quiet bays that dot the Grenadines. The catamaran's efficiency and roomy layout make sharing a week-long cruise feel like a privilege, not a test of friendship.
