Bootscharter in Dodecanese · Lagoon 39 in Rhodes New Marina — “AF-LAG39R” — (2017)

Moored at Rhodes New Marina, AF-LAG39R opens the Dodecanese to groups and families seeking room to spread out and water shallow enough to anchor where land meets sea. This 2017 Lagoon 39 sleeps 12 across six cabins, giving each person genuine privacy and morning light rather than resort-style stacking. Below deck, the cabins cluster around a walk-through saloon where the galley, dining area and navigation station sit in natural light. Two heads with separate showers mean mornings run smoothly. Above, the dual hulls create an open, uncluttered cockpit—the natural gathering place where the steering, sheet controls and helm station sit forward, leaving the aft benches and bimini for steering watch and meal times without traffic. The hulls themselves transform what a catamaran can do. Twin keels grip shallow anchorages and keep the boat steady even when anchored in a rolling swell, so you hold position in bays that monohulls cannot reach. The wide beam spreads three cabin berths across the starboard hull and three to port, avoiding the long corridor feel of other large sailboats. Trampolines netting between the bows invite early morning coffee or sunset aperitivos in air and light, while the foredeck sits high and dry for watches and photographs. From Rhodes New Marina, a week's sailing reaches the Symi, Datça coast, and the protected waters around Panormitis. The shallow draft opens anchorages at Seskli, Arkesini and the bay at Giali—places where the seabed stays visible and the water runs clear. For bareboat charters, this means autonomy, comfort and genuine exploration.
