Bootscharter in Griechenland · Excess 12 in Kalamata Port — “Spearhead” — (2020)

Sailing from Kalamata Port puts you within reach of three distinct cruising grounds: the dramatic Peloponnese coast with its sheltered bays, the Ionian islands' verdant landscapes, and the Saronic Gulf's ancient maritime routes. Spearhead, a 2020 Excess 12, is built to make the most of every option. This 12-meter catamaran sleeps seven across three cabins, with two bathrooms allowing groups and families to cruise together without compromise. Below deck, the layout flows from the saloon's central seating into sleeping cabins sized for genuine comfort rather than negotiation. Above, the dual hulls create something single-hulled boats cannot: two trampolines strung between the bows that double as both playground and prime sunbathing territory, while the generous foredeck handles anchor gear and offers unobstructed views. Twin hulls define how Spearhead behaves at sea and in harbor. At anchor, the broad beam keeps the boat nearly level through tide changes and wind shifts, making cabin life stable enough to leave a glass on the table. That same beam drives a shallow draft of 1.2 meters, opening access to pale sandbars and tucked-away anchorages where charter companies with monohulls simply cannot go. The saloon sits high enough to monitor your surroundings, while the cockpit provides helm position and social space in one. Deck space abounds: wide side decks, a working platform for swimming and water toys, and plenty of room to move without crowding. Whether you motor through calm straits or sail in the reliable northerlies that funnel down the Peloponnese, Spearhead delivers steady performance. The boat is ready for a week of island-hopping, day sails between anchorages, or simply anchoring in one perfect bay and settling in.
