Bootscharter in Italien · Excess 11 in Sardinia / Porto Rotondo / Punta Asfodeli — “Sail Speed” — (2021)

Porto Rotondo's protected anchorages and proximity to the Maddalena Archipelago make it the ideal springboard for a week aboard Sail Speed. This 2021 Excess 11 catamaran sleeps twelve guests across six cabins, creating a floating retreat for families or groups who want both privacy and shared social space without the constraint of a single-hull yacht. Living aboard means spreading out. Each hull contains independent cabin and bathroom zones, so multiple families can navigate mornings without queuing. The saloon sits centrally between hulls, offering panoramic views and natural light as your gathering hub. Above deck, the cockpit provides shelter for piloting and dining, while the expansive trampolines and foredeck invite lounging, sunbathing, and swimming directly from the bows. The broad platform stability means the boat sits flat at anchor—crucial when you're mooring for full days in remote coves. Two hulls deliver practical advantages beyond comfort. The shallow draft lets you reach bays and beaches that larger monohulls cannot access, opening anchorages near Corsica's granite cliffs and Sardinia's hidden white-sand bays. At rest, the catamaran's inherent buoyancy and twin-hull footprint eliminate much of the rocking motion typical of deeper-keeled boats. This bareboat option gives you complete freedom to set your own pace through some of the Mediterranean's finest coastal cruising grounds, whether you're experienced sailors or taking advantage of a professional skipper for part of your journey.
