Bootscharter in Athens / Saronic Gulf · Excess 11 in Lavrion Main Port — “Saint Andrew” — (2024)

From Lavrion Main Port, Saint Andrew opens a direct route into the heart of the Aegean—the shallow bays, rocky islands, and protected anchorages that define Greek sailing. This 2024 Excess 11 is built for exactly this kind of cruising: her twin hulls draw less than 1.3 meters, letting you reach beaches and coves where monohulls cannot follow, while her stable platform transforms those shallow waters into comfortable overnight anchorages even when the wind builds. Living aboard spreads across two separate cabins and three additional sleeping quarters, with five distinct hull areas and cabin configurations that give families and groups genuine privacy. The saloon sits centered between the hulls, with natural light and a view to the cockpit. Two bathrooms handle the needs of ten guests without the compromise typical of charter boats. Broad trampolines bridge the bows, creating space for sunbathing or simply watching the approach to the next anchorage, while the protected foredeck offers a different vantage for anyone wanting to escape the cockpit activity. The dual-hull design means stability without ballast—no violent rolling at anchor, and easy helmsmanship even for bareboat sailors building their confidence. Her modest length hides generous interior volume, packed into a hull form that performs efficiently under sail or power. From Lavrion, a week's itinerary can sweep through the Saronic islands, island-hop toward the Peloponnese, or reach into quieter northern passages. Saint Andrew handles it all with the calm poise that makes catamaran sailing different.
