Bootscharter in Italien · Bali Catspace in Sicily / Furnari / Marina Portorosa — “Perrito Caliente” — (2022)

Furnished to sleep ten guests across four separate cabins, Perrito Caliente offers the comfort and privacy a group needs without sacrificing the social flow of catamaran life. Each cabin has its own ensuite bathroom—a luxury that transforms a week aboard from novelty to genuine ease. The saloon sits between the hulls, surrounded by windows that frame the water from every angle, while the galley is positioned for cooks to remain part of the conversation. The wide cockpit spreads across the stern, with a hardtop that filters the Sicilian sun, and the trampolines laced between the bows create a second living room where guests naturally gather to watch dolphins or read in the breeze. Two hulls make an immediate difference to how Perrito Caliente sits in the water. The catamaran's shallow draft—typically around 1.2 metres—opens anchorages that monohulls cannot reach, letting you explore the inlets and sandy coves that dot the Tyrrhenian coast. Stability at anchor means no rocking through the night; the wider platform distributes weight and motion evenly, whether the boat is full or you're rafting alongside friends. Groups and families benefit most: there's genuine space to spread out without feeling crowded, and children gain safe access to every area, from foredeck to trampoline, without the heel and sway of a narrow hull. Based at Marina Portorosa in Furnari, you're positioned to cruise north to the Aeolian Islands, east toward the Messina Strait, or south into the Tyrrhenian depths. This stretch of Sicily rewards bareboat sailors with protected waters, manageable distances between stops, and anchorages that reward exploration.
